Taking a Break

I don't know if this should be in the Dumping forum or dating but when couple say we need to take a break does it mean they are separated for a time or are they still a couple?

Example in one of the episode of Friends Rachel said to Ross they need a break and Ross went and sleep with this other chick since Rachel said clearly they were on a break does that give the right for Ross do sleep with this other chick?

Whoa, we're using examples from Friends here? Well, probly to a lot of guys taking a break would mean, "Cool, i can go do as many chicks as I can before she wants me to come back to her." I think it just means that she feels (or he) that they are spending a little too much time together and need to just hang out with friends or be alone for a little while. Being by one's self is essential to the human spirit. If every waking moment is spent with another person, things are bound to feel smothering. That's what I think anyway.

true..usually when girls say they want a break, they want to spend some time to themselves or away from their significant other. they might feel crowded or just need to time review their relationship. raverboy
