| Damn man, this is exactly what happened to me. I hate to say this, but me and this girl are no longer friends, and I suspect that the same thing will happen to you. Basically, neither one of you wants the same thing, so it is very hard to take that tension out of the relationship. The one piece of advice I can give you is if you plan to "wait" then do just that; fall back and don't put any sort of pressure on her. It's sad to say, but you are probably just a rebound seeing as how she just got out of a serious relationship. It's possible that your friendship will develop into something serious later down the road, but it's doubtful. The best thing to do is just let it go and not let your emotions control your life. I'm just now getting over this girl and let me tell you it ruined 2-3 perfectly good months of my life when it really shouldn't have. If you stay just friends with her, then you will be friends, otherwise, cut her off and move on. You'll be alright man. |
