Actually girls DO get over things too. I got over my ex because I met my current boyfriend. Truth be told I probably looked desperate - I was longing for some comfort so much I literally started giving him hugs at a nightclub - we've known each other for three days only. But it worked - he didn't seem to mind.
But I do believe there has to be a breaking point before that - you have to realize that you're NEVER going to succeed in getting him back and that you've tried your best, it's not meant to be - yahdahyahdah - and he doesn't have any feelings for you. It's like spilling a bucketful of ice cold water over yourself - if you survive that then you'll get over.
As to meridian points... sounds a bit scientology to me. I've tried that (and a bunch of other stuff), however mine was a bit different. They told me to light up a candle and feel the heat with the palm of my hand and try to transport the heat all the way through the body and out through the other palm. Never worked for me, though. Then there was another one where you had to listen to weird buddhist music with fragments from nature and concentrate on the "good" feelings and navigate them towards a field in your life you'd like to improve. Didn't work either - I must be faithless.
