Say if you're talking to a guy you have a crush on, but he doesn't really try to carry on the conversation, does that automatically mean that he's not interested?

Not necessarily. Depends on the situation and what you were talking about. Maybe it had no interest to him. It's hard to tell. Ask a few friends and find out if he does like you or not.

Actually, I was asking him whether he had read a certain book...I know it's a close-ended question, but I just thought that if he was interested, he'd at least ask me back if I have or not/what I thought of it lol. This may sound stupid cos it's so trivial but I think it's from little things like that, you can tell...

was just looking for some opinions
