hre's my advice... go to the most popular hangout, and just talk to the best looking gal around... use a funny "pickup line or something. look for ideas. you know your town better than we do...
about overcoming shyness, heres what i have to offer: forget all the pills and crap. use "empathy." that means... think to your self "what would I think if a person said this, did this, approached me this way, told this joke. etc." because if you aren't wieirded out by it... chances are they aren't either. it just seems like it, but they REALLY ARE NOT JUDGING YOU. everythime you find your self shy, think "they are not judgeing me" ovber and over and over... it helps a lot.
