Well if you broke up with her, I can see where the Anti-Sam's have a point. Out of respect, that's tough to take.
However, because you're right, you're free to do whatever you want and NO ONE should own you, therefore I stand as a Pro-Sam.

Oh man... I LOOOOVE having people be pissed at me (/sarcasm)
Ok, so since people are already taking sides at school, I figure why not bring all that fun here!![]()
A few days before Spring Break began, I broke up with my G/F. And mid Spring Break, I decided to ask someone named Cassie to Prom. The problem is that Cassie is my G/F's good friend. So it wasn't long before the group we hang out with was split into two. Pro-Sam's/ Anti-Sam's (I'm Sam, btw)
Basically Anti-Sam's think that because Cassie is a good friend, it is cruel to go to prom with her so soon after me and my G/F broke up. They think that I shouldn't even go to prom, or at the very least, go with someone not a friend of my G/F's. Despite the fact that Cassie is the one I wanna go with.
The Pro-Sam's, think that because we are broken up, it shouldn't matter what Cassie or myself, decide to do. Also because me and Cassie are going as friends, it shouldn't bother her. And it seems kinda ridiculous to tell me what I can and can't do, just because we used to day.
So what do you think... where do you stand?

Whoot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
OpticalIllusion----If Cassie has agreed to go with you, than just go. You can't change what other people think, so leave them to their thoughts.
I don't know, I'm sort of Anti-Sam.
If she had broken up with you, I would definitely be on your side man, but don't you think it will be really hard for your ex around prom-time if you are going to the dance with her good friend? Do you not care?
I think it's a pretty sh*tty thing to do, but mostly it's this Cassie chick who is being insensitive to her "good friend," I suppose.
Mainly though, you shouldn't let what these so-called "groups" think of you run your life. You can't get self-respect from anyone but yourself. Follow your own sense of virtue.
Peace.
