"Talking about nothing at all"

Here is the story,
When me and my girl come from home from places, we always kill 3-4 hours on the phone.

But the thing is we talk about nothing at all.
Our Random Topics:
1. Talking about how hot each one of us is.
2. Sex
3. Or just flirting arround


Most couples talk about something more serious i guess..

3-4 hours talking about such trivial matters sounds like an incredible waste of time. How old are the two of you? Don't you have anything better to do than feed each other's egos?

You were the one who said you "kill" 3-4 hours. To "kill" time is another way of saying it is wasted. Since you only have a finite amount of it, I am merely suggesting you find something more productive to do with it. Besides, it sounds like even YOU are becoming a bit bored with it, or else why would you have brought it up?

In a new relationship you're still getting to know each other so of course you'll be doing a lot of flirting around and talking about physical topics because you're just starting to get comfortable which each other. I wouldn't worry about it, I mean that is cool you can talk on the phone. 3-4 hrs might be a little overkill. You can easily think of questions to make the subject go in a different direction, like ask her about her favorites, or where she would like to go on vacation, or situational questions like "what would you do if..." or "which would be worse...," You'll have plenty of time to talk serious.

Why don't you talk about the meaning of life? or how nudism could help eliminate sexism? or about how we should all be semi-amish and live in a commune in the forest in Quebec and live in trees? or debate the existence of God? or try to figure out what the real root of all evil is? or discuss linguistics and how language can limit the way people think; about how the word love itself is a failure, and in other languages they have different words for what we just magically identify as different types of love? or why don't you talk about how much a person's voice can affect their popularity? or about which birds first make noise when the sun rises? or about how clocks ruined the human race's natural sense of time? or about the impossibilty of time travel? or about how God can't know the future and still allow for free will? There's a lot to talk about... those are just a few of my favorite topics.
