that saddest thing is that they probably think you are lying in my opinion; don't say yes to begin with if you can't go through with it hon <3
| Quote of the month: "I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. " ~ Albert Einstein |
...believe that the victim genuinely believes your excuse?
...take it for granted that the victim knows you're not being honest?
...absent-mindedly assume that the victim believes you?
...hope that the victim believes you, while remaining uncertain whether or not they do?
...usually not care enough to think about it?
Quetsion to everyone, man and woman:
When you arrange a date, and then, come dating time you either just don't feel like it or cynically hope to gain something by cancelling, do you think that the victim genuinely believes that your excuse is genuine? Or do you take it for granted that he/she knows you are lying?

whenever i cancel a date, i am honest. lying will only get you into more trouble later down the road. however, i tend to jump to conclusions when the other person cancels on me.raveboy
...this is just my perspective on the situation...
I make sure I give a lame enough excuse, so the date realizes I just don't want to see *him* and stops asking me out.
Unfortunately, that never, ever, worked.
why don't you just tell him that you arent interested? be straight up and honest?
Well, I was younger at the time -- much younger. Didn't realize that trying to not hurt another person's feelings does not really pay off. So I tried to hint, and HINT, and HINT. And it did not work.
I'm an indecisive person and I have cancelled a couple of dates in the past not really to play with anyone's emotions but because of my own fears. I'm honest when I cancel a date. I do believe in Karma.Plus, it's just not fair not to be honest with someone who obviously thinks you're a good person.
