Zekk, I take your point. Looking back I now see that I should have made one thing clearer: when I say "avoid becoming her friend", I am not advocating a cold, purely physical relationship, or treating her outright badly. I simply mean that, in order to stand any chance of becoming her boyfriend, one must absolutely avoid becoming her *friend*. Within the first 30 minutes (or less) of meeting a new girl, she will decide whether you are a potential boyfriend or just a "sweet guy" (ouch!). Personally, I don't need one more attractive female friend and certainly know which category I want to be placed into!

You see, this fundamental tragedy of male existence (falling into the "sweet guy, just friends" category) stems from the wrong assumption that most males make: that friendship is the way to court a girl. It's seemingly logical and intuitive, and therefore tempting; unfortunately, females don't think like men and, unlike men, are not willing to consider what has become a "friend" as a potential mate. Therefore becoming her friend nullifies any chances one may have had with her.

We must make sure we do not shoot ourselves in the foot by falling into that pitfall--which I, for one, have fallen into way too many times. If not, you end up with one more attractive female friend.

Once the relationship starts, you get to chat/confide *and* you have a girfriend--which is by far more entertianing than a mere "female friend", frankly!

I hope this; I'd love to hear what you guys think.

Bye for now,

Ladies' fan.
