| | | Flowers SWM 28
Hey all I have a question that I am just looking for some advise on as I think too many of my friends that are girls are just too narrow minded. Ok so I have been flirting with a 22 year old at work and we have finally decided to take it a step further. We have hung out at parties and she has come over for movies, but I have been careful not to make any quick moves. So 2nite is our first real date, and I know she loves pink flowers. So my question is are pink roses too much? I mean we have been flirty and stuff for over a month and its not like its our first time together. But then again I don't want to seem clingy or too over the top. But as you can possibly tell I already bought the roses...lol Advise/Insight ?! thx | | Loveforum Breaktime | | | | Loveforum also recommend - Green tea - Help in weight loss and decrease rate of getting cancer.

| | | Well, you already bought the roses, so what does it matter now? I am sure she will like them (very sweet!), but for something more unusual next time, try Stargazer Lillies. They smell better and are pink/white. You can even mix in a few pink roses if you'd like, although I ususally like to put in something pale green and spiky.
EDIT: I just wanted to say that ANY flowers are good flowers.

| | Just give her one rose, not a dozen. One is sweet as it is, a dozen is overkill for the first date.
EDIT: Unless the girl is like Shh!, then she is worthy of a dozen

| | | Better yet, go pick all the flowers out of Lloyd's yard to give to her. Handpicked flowers are SO romantic! Just be sure to get rid of any bugs, and tie them together with a wide pink ribbon.
Oh, and SERIOUSLY! Don't give her any flowers from the grocery store unless you have them re-wrap the flowers (like they would do in a flower shop)! Price tag stickers are very cheesy, and a good store will re-wrap for free.
And I am worth two dozen roses, at least, Lloyd.

| | Lloyd if we hadn't already hung out and talked for awhile I would agree and I still do lean towards your side. I was contiplating this for well too long but new relationships are always touchy so its worth it right..!? You hate to be too pushy but then again its a first date that you don't want her to soon forget. I am a hopeless romantic what can I say, do what I think is right and enjoy the ride......
BTW Viking Fan see you in the superbowl
