Been there far too many times. I don't know what it is. I always thought that she felt I was unattractive or whatever. Perhaps that was the case.

There has to be a tension there, not necessarily a sexual one, but some sort of spark and it has to reside in both of you, not just one.

I'm not sure why you think you are being played. Has she been giving indications that there will be more between you? If not, then it's simply that, as others have stated, there is no spark.

Everybody is looking for something different out of a partner. I have several female friends who I feel attraction towards, but would never persue because there is no romantic attraction. Likewise, I have a few female friends who wouldn't mind a relationship with me, whom I would never consider dating.

The very least you can do is find out what the girl you are persuing wants from a guy. If you can't meet her requirements, let her go. Find someone you're right for.

After seeing the link posted so many times I decided to finally go and check it out. After reading it some of it made a little sense. But it was nothing mind-altering by any means. It's not really even that clever. Anyone else already has a term for intellectual whores, they're most commonly called "plutonic friends." There's no mystery or secret to it, nor do these women want to whore you for your mind. If you have great conversations but don't peak their sexuality it doesn't make any kind of phenomenon, it just means they aren't turned on by you. The whole site glorifies that into something that may make rejected guys feel better.
