I want to remind my girlfriend how special she is to me.

Hi,
My girlfriend and I have been dating for 2 years and almost 4 months, and I want to make sure that she knows how much I love her. We both just transfered to the University of Houston, and I am BROKE. I know that it doesn't matter how much I spend, but I really want do do something special for her!! I know that eventually we will get married, but we are too young now. (I'm 20 and she is 18) We have talked about marrage and we both agree on waiting at least 2 more years before we get engaged. She means the world to me, and I never want her to forget that. I truly love her with all of my heart! Does anyone have any sugestions of something romantic and inexpensive that I could do for her??

OMG! That is the most sweetest thing. Your gf is lucky to have someone like you. I'm sure she will understand that you are on a really tight budget. Being a big spender is not what girls really do think about (if the girl truely loves him). It's what you do and how you say things. Girls are good listeners (really we are) and if you show her how much you love her by putting in 100% she'll never forget how much she means to you. Nice to hear there are some good bf's left in this crazy world.

Write her a poem about how you feel about her and how much she means to you. Try going to your favorite park and planning a romantic picnic ....and bring the food. Make her a cd of songs that remind you of her...and give it to her... Go to one of your fav spots and watch the sunrise or sunset together. Make her a card....and personalize it with little things you love about her. Get her a single red rose and tell her it symbolizes your love for her.

Cook her favorite meal... if possible leave work/school a couple hours early to prepare everything so it can all be ready by the time she gets home from work/school so it's more of a suprise... use lots of candles.. afterwards run a hot bubble bath for her, and if you're lucky she might let you join ^_^

Just make sure whatever you do, for that night - the attention is all about her. Don't talk about what Billy found underneath his porch today. It's all about her.

I like all of the ideas from here, but I would like to contribute, too. Why don't you read quality love poems to her? I suggest Elizabeth Barrett Browning's Sonnets from the Portuguese, but practice out loud several times before you do so you will sound smooth. And read with proper emotion. ::melt::
