Dreams of places far away..
Thoughts come back from that day.
Stars shine ever so bright..
Why did I leave that cold night?

I remember you sitting,
asking me please.
Stopped in time,
Like somone said, "freeze!".
You shared your thoughts, hopes, and fears,
and I drove away in tears.

Your eyes full of sorrow,
with no thoughts of tomorrow.
All I wanted,
was your strength to borrow.

I have many thoughts and questions of that night,
I often wish,
You just might.

We shared a love,
that was strong.
Even if it wasn't,
all that long.

Days go by,
and I try to let go.
Everytime I think of you,
the tears just flow.

I know one day,
you will forgive and forget.
But right now,
I am full of regret.

As time goes by,
I feel like a dunce.
All I know,
is that I loved you once.
