I've tried to write a bit today
But I've ran out it seems, of things to say
I've wanted to write such a grand thing too
To make you feel like our loves brand new
I wanted to write to give hope, make love higher
To heal all your hurts, to renew, to inspire
But in the end it seems all I can do
is write another poem for you
But you know, I won't make just any poem
I think I'll make it a reminder
A reminder of how much you mean to me
How I'd be lost in the dark, with nothing to see
How whenever I feel like I'll fall into space
you hold me close, and keep me safe
You give me hope, you give me dreams
You've shown the worlds not as dark as it seems
You keep me inspired, you keep things exciting
The love you give fills me while I'm writing
And you there is another side of you
the side you've shown but to a few
The side who needs to be safe, to be loved
That fragile girl who needs to be protected and hugged
And so I remind you again, can't you see?
The one to be there, that person is me
The one to hold you, to keep you close
The one who loves you, who adores you the most
It is me my dear Lulu, I can't make the point any finer
