Young and Free
You live life
Open roads and
Dreams you dream
Without fear
Life is good
Nothing makes you scared
Nothing to be afraid
Your young and free
Without care

But life moves on
Without you
It leads and leaves
You say goodbye
to what you once knew
and what you'll never know
Friends come but now gone
new things promised
but delivered when?
Your moving on
But something
Something inside trapped
and Lost
It left you

Where is all you once knew
Broken dreams
Promises you keep
Are broken too
You play that record once again
With or Without you
With or Without you
I can't live
And as you hear the words cry
Same words you heard
But they sound so strange
That you give yourself away
That you give yourself away

The music plays behind you
It's the same you heard
When you were young
But now they surround you
with the lies you told
And face you kept

This world is not for you
It's some other place
Another time
This world not made for you
Too much hurt
And faked smiles
As change makes way for new things
It's the static of that music sound
That is here to remind you
Of the road you take and nothing lived

Somewhere in the distance
Or another world
Another life
Is where the words can filter
Your sorrow and cleanse your soul

I listen on with heavy heart

But now used and broken notes
