Thread: My Found Love

I've read several of the poems posted here and was kinda nervous about posting my own, but thanx to some kind words from a friend, who I met here, I decided to brave it out. I wrote this for someone I thought I was in love with. It's long since been over, but he inspired a lot of good feelings in me, so I guess it wasn't such a bad relationship.



Sweet, tender words, so beautifully enrapture
My heart, my being, my soul they capture
Delighting my mind, ever wandering with you
As we enjoy love's song beneath a sky of blue

You are my love, my sweet perfection
I know in an instant, my heart's direction

How I long to gaze upon your face, your smile
Just to hold your hand I would walk many a mile
For you are the reason that God made me
And now that we're together, a bright future I see

I love you, I need you, I miss you so much
I can't wait to see you, to feel your touch

Whispering winds that speak your name
Tell me so clearly, you feel the same
So enthralling is this emotional high
Never during our lives shall I say good bye

And this I promise, my darling, my dear
That forever I will love you, and always be here
