| music these are the lyrics to one of the few songs ive spit on..it was actually my first ever..but the lyrics hold alot of meaning to me, i figured i would share it, its only a short verse- i was basically testing out how the beat would sound with lyrics on it so anyway...
i had to quit sampling to go take a shit
grabbed my pen and pad, hit the toilet
i wanted to write something tight
reflected back on the music that i liked
stuff i played everynight
sometimes the same cd for weeks-givin life
to a moment that would otherwise be boring
and now i find its myself im exploring
for years my thoughts remained dormant
back then getting faded made more sense
than ever stepping up to something of importance
but now i search- for my own self worth
trying to get thoughts out through a dope verse
nowadays it hurts, fools would rather burst
an artery, must be some kindof voodoo curse
or maybe its just hard to be, a man first
a rich man second, check it
in all my years ive learned alot
now its time to wreck it, show what ive got
creating ill scenery with the words that i jot down
its profound, and so i'll leave you with a beat that will pound
really just an arrangement of sounds
