I'm about to quit,
Dare I say it?
It's not like me,
To stop and let it be.
How I feel, dare I tell her?
To respond, will she bother?
How I'd love to take a while,
To look at that beautiful smile;
And forever listen,
To her laugh
and watch her eyes glisten.
Many nights
I have lost precious sleep,
Wondering if I should ask her,
and take the leap.
Then I'm overcome by fear,
Of the response I'd probably hear.
But those beautiful dark eyes,
