Thread: A losing battle

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to touch your lips
but every night I get a heavy heart and my chest constricts
Why cant I find a way to give you this?

Everyday I watch the sun fall into the ocean
it reminds me I'm alone and I have a feeling of dread
If I could throw my insecurities into the wind
I could be everything you needed me to be
Why cant I win?

Before your eyes, I march across the sky
but I feel like a failure
My mind races the river
I've come so far but this is a losing battle
I know I'm not perfect, But I'll always try
can I complete the rest of your life
Afraid to find what happens next.,can we share this moment together
I'm feeling this could mean forever if you gave me a chance

I spiral down the well. I know I'm unwell
but you provide an overwhelming calm
I've given everything
Now I see how I break down behind the scene
The dark cloud hangs over, I cut easily like paper
Its the way you make me feel everyday

If I left this to fate, would anything change
your eyes fret, and my arms run away
You're making this impossible
I have so much to give. .I had reason to believe,
Hope that you'd notice. A reason to begin anew
So Why cant I win?
