The game of chance is one we played
And cheated on to an extent
Of teetering toward the shadowed bond
That relied on our consent.

Yet still we dodge the very words
To set us up inside the net
Of owning one another in that
Relationship aspect.

So here we are beside the tables
That people say will always turn,
Finding out that the games we played
Are the lessons we must learn.
