Gotta be the most emotionally draining movie I've seen in a long time.

God, there's like nothing you can do after watching that except just sit and stare at the wall

I liked this movie a lot better than Crash, but not as well as I have liked other Oscar contenders/winners.

Is this movie out on video yet? I have been wanting to watch it for a while now. Since Vashti compared it to Crash, im now really excited to see it. I loved crashed.

Has anyone seen The Fountain? That looks good to me.

I think Babel and Crash were very similar in that the idea of the movie was to illustrate how lives are interconnected. This one was on a global scale, though, rather than communal. I don't know if it is on video yet - I saw it in a theater a couple of weeks ago.

I couldn't agree more. I even agree with your wall comment. Man, the car drive home from the theater with my friends was dead silent.

I thought the movie might be like that, that's why I waited and downloaded it so I could watch it by myself

liked Crash, but my problem with it was that it had one message and it spent over an hour and a half trying to hammer that home. Babel was far more layered and I think better because of it.

The view you got of the different cultures was also really interesting. It's not often you see Japan through the eyes of a deaf-mute.

I never understood the ending, I downloaded it so I think my ending cut out to early or I just dont get it. Idc Im too lazy to care.

Did anyone see Departed and Babel if so What do you think is better i have seen either or The Prestige. i did see Flushed Away and Farce of the Penguins they are really both funny movies.

I haven't seen The Prestige, but I did see The Departed. And between Babel and The Departed, I'd have to say Babel was the better movie. The acting was better in The Departed, but the story wasn't as strong as Babels'.
