| | | Yeah, in the case of that Mustang (can't believe the Exec didn't do it to a Cobra instead), it was the loudest car I've ever heard. It had several fuel-cells added on, turbocharged, the works. Also a body kit. Thats one thing I have no respect for, full body kits are stupid. If you're going to lower your vehicle why get rid of your entire ground clearance by adding on a kit? Thats just dumb IMO. But that car was raw. About the sound though, its not very practical if you're not racing it.
Btw., the amount of posts I currently have perfectly describes my dream car. (I have 645 posts)

| | | I loathe rice rockets. If you're gonna buy a car and drop thousands of dollars "suping it up" I'd rather just buy a better car to begin with. Plus all the cars people supe up and all those cars in the fast and furious movies look sooooooo retarded. And I'd like to ask, what is the appeal whatsoever on those awful looking whiteouts on the rear lights????

| | | Zekk, that Mustang my friend has has dusted every Ferrari it went up against and was a lot cheaper. Anyway, you're right, some of the decorations suck, especially some outrageous spoilers people put up. I usually soup cars up, but I like to give em a classy elegant look. Maybe a suspension job and, intakes, and extra exhausts, but have it all set up in a way that its still a gorgeous looking car and something you can pick the inlaws up with. | |

Racing is cool & all (I actually have been at sideshows and streetracing competitions - didn't compete, I have a Camry not a Mustang), but the movie just looks kinda lame. Do you think it was any good? It was alright. Beuatiful actors, cars, and rap. Content - neeeeeh.
Hmmm...my dream car. I'd rather have a pilot's license actually. I love planes.

| | | If you're serious about your pilot's license you can do Civil Air Patrol, they teach you how to fly planes for free and then you have to fly old Cessna's on weekends for about 12 hours. A bit of an investment, I did it in High School but after Sept. 11 they said that "they would understand if [i] had time constraints that conflicted with [my] pilot education," never got my flying license...
Maybe some day. | |

| | | I don't care if it is a Skyline, if it rolls up and has streetglow, tribal shit all over it, a huge wing on the back and color tinted windows I'm gonna laugh and maybe defecate on it when you aren't around. You miss the whole point MVP, I really couldn't give two shits if a Mustang (a straight line car) can beat a Ferrari off the line. As I said before, racing off the line is not racing. You can't sit there and tell me that some rice rocket Mustang is gonna turn more heads than a Barchetta. That'd just be a horrible lie. If Mustangs were that great at all they'd be in real races. Like Le Mans and the like.

| | | They can go ahead and kill transmissions and waste gas. I drive fast but I don't find a need to accelerate fast.

| | | Zekk, I'm probably going to be at the LeMans this year, my friend really wants to go. Anyway...
My point is not the style of a car, if it comes down to that I'd pick the Aston Martin lineup: (the DB9, AR1, Vanquish 04).
The skyline, btw., is not allowed in the US so you won't see an illegal car race here. It is not legal under any circumstances. The mustang I mentioned overheats after some time and its a quarter-mile type of car.
I completely understand what you say about racing and I agree, I just say that there are some different merits to street racing. Anyway, I'd pick a Ferrari over a Mustang any day. | |

| | | Accually the Skyline can be legal in the US after its been "legalized" before emissions check, bascially cutting its balls off before being sold. Infact there is a company in Cali, I forget the name right now, but they import Skylines and have them legalized for around I believe 80,000-100,000. I also believe they have Silvia's (S13, S14, S15) for only 20,000.
However people who know anything about cars can upgrade the ECU and reset the management systems to the Skyline, basically giving back its balls. (As im sure there are shit loads of limiters placed up on it) Problem is, don't get caught.

| | Well, the best part about that is typically the authorities in the US don't know enough about cars to be able to tell. It may be different in Cali or state where people upgrade their cars more but I know you could be driving a McClaren F1 around here and no one would know what you had under there.
MVP - Glad we finally see eye to eye about this.

| | | That is true, they don't know much about cars. As long as its not blaring loud either, cops won't be after ya.
