your mind isn't very deep if that's all you recognize in a song. music allows you to reflect yourself.

when i hear this song i picture myself not appreciating anything and not realizing i have it better than a lot of people. there's kids in guatemala that deserve a nintendo wii more than i do, there's kids who need friends, kids who need families, families who need food.

it makes me want to turn down gifts or donate my stuff to the good will.

You can derive meaning out of anything if you want too. I do it out of electronic music that has no lyrics at all believe it or not and I find the rythm to be soothing and connecting. It is all opinion.

you don't understand; it allows YOU to reflect YOURSELF. it doesn't just magically reflect you. if you can't relate, it's because you simply choose not to, or your mind isn't creative enough to come up with something to relate.

well i figured you'd be someone who likes this song, since you can relate to what i saw. you were in americorps. but i guess that since i'm so sheltered and shit that i was not able to generalize this song as one of those similar to creed's and other good band's music that can easily be taken as a breakup song.
