| | | well, maybe you're just the type of person who doesnt like the "norm" ... i've noticed that mainstream things dont appeal to you ... hahaha ... not a bad thing tho ... i'm a big fan of the Beatles, myself ... a lot of their music was controversial for that time ... hearing them for the first time 30 years after their breakup doesnt do them much justice, but at the time, the messages they put out on their records were deep and the censors werent very lenient ... you couldnt talk about sex or anything like that ... drug references and shit like that were eye/ear-openers ... it was a really conservative time (hope i used that term correctly ... correct me if im wrong tho! haha) i think ... also, one of the first music groups to make music to listen to ... without the intention of getting you to dance ...

Very perceptive, I do tend to hate things that everyone else likes. When I see something really popular I scrutinize it heavily and try my hardest to find something I don't like about it. If I can't I admit to its greatness, if I can then I hate it forever. My general rule is "if everyone likes it, there must be something very wrong with it."
