hehe - I actually first heard this song like a week before she left me and I immediateely loved it just cause the sounds - then after she left me I went thru this faze where I would just sit and listen to music - But this time i was listening to every little word in every song - that when I realized what this song was about.

It has got to be the perfect song for this

In the bus back from the airport she was listening to this, and she put the headphones on my head and the look on her face as the song played said it all. I'll never hear that song the same way again.

It wasn't quite like that. It wasn't totally out of the blue or anything. And both of us being Cure fans, the Cure had played a fairly prominant role in our relationship. The trip to my parents' was rocky. We were rocky even before the trip. We both knew we were through. Actually, I found her playing that song for me quite beautiful to be honest. It was very fitting. She was wonderful, up to the last moment. I'll never forget her...

"The One" by the Foo Fighters. I don't think this song was ever on the radio due to mildly explicit lyrics, but it's a good one. It's very simple, but therapeutic. I believe it was on the soundtrack to the movie "Orange County" with jack black.

Love that song Burn by Usher! The video is great. He is my new fav. I know he's been around for a while, but I just recently started listening to him more.

So.........are these songs you guys play AFTER you get dumped? To feel good or what? Just to veg? What do you play after YOU are the dumpER? Just curious is all.

For me it depends on my mood. If I'm sad, then I play something that will make me cry, just so I can get it out already. If I'm just feeling crappy, then I try to play something upbeat so I can feel better for a while. It's always a different song though.
