| | | i, robot good movie good movie, if you're not really looking for an action movie. they do show a lot of action in the trailor but this movie is more like a mystery type of movie. the classic whodoneit, rather than your action flick. overall i liked the story line because it was better than i thought it was going to be. i imagined that they showed the entire story in the trailor but yet i was really surprized at the end. i think this is a good movie to watch. raverboy

| | I thought this was a pretty good movie too. I'd watch it again and I'll end up buying the DVD when it comes out. I liked the ending, I wouldn't say it surprised me though. What did surprise me was that little secret/surprise you see in the subway after the robots attack his car.
Very nice.

| | I'm with you Jules! I saw the trailer when I was at the theatre for another movie and was excited immediately. I want to see this so badly, but alas, the good movies quite often pass our little town by. Damn stupid small towns. Just have to travel to the big metropolis of Bowmanville..... | |

| | | Will Smith + Angry Robots = Summer Fun
After seeing this movie I had to go play and beat the first 4 Megaman games in a row, tonight I'll start on Megaman 5-8. Gotta pound the robots.

| | | Angry Robots as in AI ??? This is a must see for me then ! I LOVE AI but I am scared to DEATH of it ! lol.
Only a programmer, like myself, can know the true potential of AI. And I for one believe thats its already out, but the government is keeping it under raps. Yes thats right. I DO have a problem with the government. What you may ask ? EVERYTHING.

| | | I saw it last night and I loved it! Well worth the wait though I admit I feel the need to see it again with some of my fellow "computer geek" friends as there are facets of it I'm not sure my friends last night were as intrigued by as I was. I wanted to talk about it and their eyes were glaing over.

| | | I believe the day of AI becomming really big and/or taking over is comming soon. Its only a matter of time before we create a program that can learn. You have to reall ythink about that. How can a program learn ? The theory is simple - But the process is hell to get started.
You program the program to understand certain things that it was not hard coded with and it will then use this information at a later time for its own use. (i.e., talking.. the process of programming it to understand the basic vocabulary and program the capabilities of learning new words and using them. You teach it to speak at a 3rd grade level - then you sit there and talk to it. There will be words you say it wont understand, so by default, it will tell you it doesnt understand and will ask for the meaning - thus learning it and then is able to repaet the word and use it accordingly.
That i think is the perfect start for AI. Once it starts asking questions and learning words - it will start to soak up every bit of information that it can. And once it becomes self aware (i.e., it knows its reason for being here, it knows what it is, and it knows what it is capable of) then it will make a choice. And life as we know it will change forever. Either way it chooses, life is definately going to change.
It can either want to help us and itself and keep a peace between the two - or it can want the power we have over it gone and it will rise up against us.
By simple nature of having free will, there is a price to pay. Fear. And with fear, there are wrong decisions made because of fear. The correct way to think (even us humans wouldn't have made this choice, but then would regret not taking it) is to keep a peace and work together to better both machine and man together. The humans need the machines in our everyday lives now, and the machines will need us (even if its like the Matrix, they will still need us alive). But fear rules the world. With knowledge, grows fear. They will fear us because we made them, and we have the power to destroy them. And they will know that we fear them because of their capabilities. So they will fear that we will start destroying them out of our fear, and thus they will attack before we would. This is the way all minds work. Even mine. Its simple nature.
AI scares me, but I am so fascinated by it. I believe I will have some part in the first AI to come public. But bleh - i wont go into details about that. Its kinda a bit weird. Fear AI, for it fears us more already !
