| | | What Genre(s) of Music Do You Guys Like? I just wanna seperate the cool from the not as cool.
I used to be hardcore ska in junior high, but since then began to admit to myself (as well as others) that I did in fact like other kinds of music, some of which are still guilty pleasures, but generally speaking:
ska
punk/Oi!
reggae
techno
trance
chillout
house
happy hardcore
classical

| | | As much as I love ska, I've only been to one concert, which was a few years ago, I saw the Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger, and Zebra Head. I was rippin' it up in the skank pit man. Plus, this February the Voodoo Glow Skulls, and Streetlight Manifest (ever listen to Catch 22- keasbey nights?) and some other ska bands are comin' to Philly, I plan on getting tickets to that one.
I always loved techno, but never admitted it until like 10th grade, when I didn't give a $hit about what other people thought. I need the variety.

Not Goldfinger so much though. However, my mostest favoritest ska band, is Catch 22 during the Keasbey Nights Album, then Streetlight Manifesto (the singer from Catch 22 started another band that sounds just like the Keasbey Nights album) it's the best ska I have EVER listened to. Look them up.

| | i don't know fras, if you love rbf then i don't think i can possibly like the kind of ska you like . besides i'm not too much into it anymore. i'm fixated on the old school stuff like the skatalites, the specials, the selector, desmond decker, etc... i've been out of the ska stage of my life for so long | |

For the sake of all that is ska, please look these up. On a side note, I've listened to Desmond and can't say I was too pleased with it, however I do like Bad Manners, and Maroon Town, The Selecter, they're all on this compilation CD I have. Sublime is good, as well as No Doubt...now I did like the Rocksteady CD, my only real issue with it, is that most of the music wasn't rocksteady at all, it was more reggae-ish/club type music. Rocksteady is much slower.

| | | Well I'll listen to just about anything, the beauty of being a VERY diverse listener. However that being said..my main genre(s) of music are: Rock, Alternative, Punk, emo/rock hybrid. (I really not a huge fan of true emo, like Simple Plan...just whine too much lol(Nothing wrong with a little emotion, but every single song?? No thanks)..but I like Story of The Year. (which is emo/rock hybrid))
