so i think a thread about this movie exists already but i can't find it...

so here's mine!

i just saw sideways today and i absolutely love it. i love miles he is so good. i love that they were traveling through california visiting vineyards, eating like crazy and getting drunk on wine every night. it reminded me of this one trip my friend and i took to san diego, boy was it an adventure. anyway yes, this movie is so good and you have to go watch it... if you haven't already.

I really want to see this, even my political-science teacher said it was good, and he's a cynical, brilliant, suspender-wearing old man.

Misombra----Saw this movie a couple of weeks ago. My date really wanted to see it, I was semi-reluctant. When the credits started rolling he said he hated it, but I thought it was brilliant. Surviving a road trip :-D The best was the golf-course scene. HAHAHAHHAHAHAAAA.

oh yeah that was funny. i loved the part where they were going for dinner and miles starts yelling, "I AM NOT DRINKING MERLOT IF ANYBODY ORDERS ****ING MERLOT I'M LEAVING!!!"

Misombra----I actually like Merlot. Guess Miles was too snooty. Think I'll go on a roadtrip. They say that if you can survive a roadtrip with someone, you'll get along famously in real life. It's the ultimate test :-D

miles was awesome. and i like merlot too but i was so happy to be watching a movie that revolved around being a wino i was happy he even had an opinion of merlot. i would like to do that same thing (take a roadtrip and visit various vineyards) except i think it would be better to do in france...

Hmmm. Well, the acting was good & the stuff about wine was OK. I thought they could've done a better job w/the wine-allegory thing; it was a little vague & forced. I thought that Jacks self-realization toward the end was a little abbreviated, too. The movie was good, but not great, IMO.

I just rented it tonight. I'll watch it when the bf gets home. Can't wait, can't wait!
