A couple things I look for are if the thread has multiple pages and I've never been in it I tend not to go in seeing as how I'd be far behind the topic stream. The topic title itself has to sound interesting to. I used to go into every thread to see what was up but now I just pop in places I think could intrigue me.

This could be a pointless thread about 'other' pointless threads. But would that make 'this' thread pointless?
I don't think it does: This thread at least has a purpose - 'to point out 'other' pointless threads (with no purpose)!
What if I created 'another' thread, about 'this' thread.
Then I would have a Thread, about this 'Pointless Thread', that describes 'other' threads.
At this point, I'm a little confused. Because: What if this 'other thread', which is about 'this' thread, is just another pointless thread?
Then, we'd have a vicious cycle of the 'THREAD', that describes 'other' POINTLESS THREAD, which in turn, 'is' a Pointless Thread...
...at this point, I'm more confused that I initially was.
But, the point is, can a Thread 'really' be considered pointless? | |
