Computer Prob: Please Help Me!!!

Hi all please all those who know about computers help! I am so stupid i must of deleted my sound card or driver or something when i was clearing out some things on add/remove programs. I have lost all sound and the computer is saying 'found new hardware - multimedia Audio controller.'

Where can i get what i need back?! I am running windows XP and i had my computer specifically made for me, not from dell or anything. i actually just had it upgraded ready for oblivion. Please help me

follow these instructions, i'll make it BASIC as possible:

1) turn on the computer. wait for dos prompt and xp initiater to load up using the manual configuration the factory installs (In English - DO NOTHING)

2) Once windows (prompt start up) loads proberly, you should be in your familiar desktop environment...using the mouse, direct the pointer toward the 'Internet Explorer' Icon, BUT, before you do so.........

3) before exerting pressure on the 'mouse' in TWO quick successions on 'IE' icon, it is PERATIVE that you connect to the Internet...


(and NOOO!!! AOL is NOT the Internet)

4) Now, double click, and the homepage that is configured will open up. at this point, go the to address bar, and click ONCE. then back space, and type in the address of a search engine...........such as.......

www.google.com

or

www.yahoo.com

5) then type something that 'matches' you inquiry...you are looking for COMPUTER help...type is something like, Computer dash, Forums....


Search: Computer Forum

6) EITHER, hit enter, or click on, where is says search...

7) browse the appropriate forum, and become a member...

8) introduce yourself to the forum

9) thread your question.........

10) and wait for responses...............

11) Post your picture before the admins delete your existence and ban you from the internet.

Well it says - 'let computer search for hardware' or if you have a CD ROM or disk to insert it. I dont have a CDROM etc and have tried the other but the computer doesn't pick up any suitable drivers.... thanks for trying to help Alice...

and by the way RK...i dont need hairdressing school im at university...
