i am going to go get a cd player for my new car today. my car is an 88 oldsmobile. i dont know how to put one in so do any of you know how to put one in?

i have seen these kinds of cd players in cars before and i know how big they are and the radio i have in mine is a lot bigger than that.. so would it fit???? how would i make it fit in the hole that my radio is in?

well if you get a crutchfiled magazine, then you can check the specs of your car. you could probably also find the specs online and then check which cd player would fit into your car.

Your stock stereo is probably bigger than you think once it's pulled out of the dash.

You can go to an auto parts store and get an installation kit specifically for your car (maybe- you might have to order one) It'll include pretty much everything you need and instructions on how to hook up the wires.

However, it might be worth your money to just get the thing installed. But it at Best Buy- they have a decent warranty.

hey i got the installation thing yesterday at walmart along with the cd player... everything works except the cd player... i get 'cd error-1' on every single cd i tried. on the back it says that it is cause by a mechanical problem. my stepdad who is experienced with this stuff thinks it might be the wiring job i did but i think it is a defect of the product.... which do you think it is?

Yank it out and check all of your connections before you return it.
