What's the worst injury/illness/ailment you've ever had? (edit; excluding colds/flu)

Not much has really happend to me, so I'd have to say ear infection. Hurt like hell. Was in bed for a week and had to get shots. Could hardly hear anything in that ear for weeks afterwards.

Appendicitis.

Had to have surgery. Surgery is never fun times.

broke my foot inhalf wrestling. omg there was nothing to ease the pain and i didnt have painkillers. moving my fingers even hurt.

actually i take that back. the worst ever was the colitis thing i just got over... read my thread in broken hearts about it

yeah, that's what made me think of this thread. In general I've found often injuries are not as bad as ailments like that.. Like, i've fallen from my bike and landed on gravel with my hands and elbows, came home looking very bloody, and i've cut myself to the bone, but still the ear infection was worse.

really? ive broken many bones, been sick a lot, but what i just got over really sucked. i hope you dont get it!

When I was younger, between 4 and 5, my tonsils were keeping me chronically ill. Vomiting and the such. I was incredibly skinny. After I got them out I stopped being sick and gained some weight. Don't remember much of that though.

I did get chicken pox for a second time when I was in elementary school. That sucked hardcore.

Spraining my ankle. Sounds minor, but it was worse than a break and more painful than natural childbirth. 6 months of PT. It was black from my knee to the sole of my foot.

Disgusting.
