Well, right now I'm a little worried about my height. I'm 5'5, 15 years old, and I'm asian. (Like 3/4 flip and 1/4 chiniese, something like that.)


Both of my parents are short. My dad is taller than me, but barely, like by about a cm or two. My mom is around 5'1 or 5'0 I think. Both of my parents were born in the Phillipines and I was born here in Texas. Is there any possibility that I will grow taller? I want to be at least around maybe 5'8 or something like that, and the doctor says that I will grow taller but it just dosen't seem like it..

Any tips, comments, anything I can possibly do?

/sigh... If I remember correctly the average adult female height for those in the usa, was like 5'5 or something, can't remember.. For some reason I just prefer white girls to asian girls... Oh well..

Hopefully I'll grow taller. But, as ya'll said, I should just be happy with who I am.

Just so you know, guys don't finish their growing until about age 21-23. For females it's 18 or 19. So you have a lot of time left. Most guys seem to really go through a crazy growth spurt between 16 and 18. I think you'll be fine.

I also prefer non-asians.

Wouldn't you know it though, I had managed to find a girl who didn't mind bein' taller than me.

Get used to it, bein' short has it's advantages.

I understand how u feel, it sucks to be short... im not greatly under height, but I cant reach things that are on high shelves -_-" lol, and sometimes my feet dont reach the floor when i sit properly on chairs lol... but since everyone i kno thinks im really nice, they dont make fun or anything they just think its cute ^^ and help me lol, but i guess its diff since ur a male. We're not short, we're just vertically challenged :D... lol

Oh yea, i forgot about a guy i kno, hes not short hes pretty tall, taller than averge but hes not full asianhes half. Hmm.. Why are asians short?... I wonder if we have a curse?..

well , I'm a Asian too . I'm 18 and i'm shorter than you.
But I don't think being short is a serious problem .
Be confident is more important than being tall ,
when you grow up ,
you will know the appearance and the height are minor factors
that girl consider when they choose a boy friend.
