I was gonna post this in my "black heart" thread but considering most of the pictures have little to nothing to do with that I figured I post a seperate thread.

I'd post these pictures in the gallery but as I've mentioned before, for whatever reason I can't modify my photos in any way, whether it's uploading or deleting, so sorry about that.



Took some group photos before we left the facility.

I finally got these from my team leader.

First one showing trying to express how exhausted we were.

The second two we had props that represented what type of jobs or tasks we were in. I had grown fond of removing fixtures such as toilets, sinks, washers, dryers, and water heaters...thus the monkey wrench.

3rd is with the Hands On sign and one of the crazy long term volunteers, Chet.

And the 4th...I couldn't help but throw that in, me and Ames after Pensacola, we ended up out on Folly Beach that night then she spent half the night in my room. The team mate that took this picture Manda (who I have my arm around in the 4th picture) was unaware of our antics. But since then I've made the confession.

Aw, yeah, that's Kenda. She LOVED gutting but she was allergic to mold so she and Sally (who was also allergic) ran the office. In a sense they were like our bosses, which caused a bit of tension.

Yeah...one of my fondest memories...let me just type out the dialogue as I can remember it, I do remember it being longer than I've posted but you'll get the idea:

Setting: Me and Amy were on a gut crew doing finishing work (removing nails from the studs and basically prepping it for mold removal) so we were gonna be done soon. This house had already had about 9 days of work which is about 3x's as much time spent on any other house so we wanted to get the damn thing done. So Kenda calls me...

Kenda: Hey Choi, how are things goin'?

Choi: Pretty good, why what's up?

Kenda: I got 2 new volunteers in and wanted to know if you could use 'em.

Choi: (surveys house) mmm...nah, I think we're good

Kenda: Well...they want to do some work.

Choi: Oh well, we don't need 'em we'll be finishing up soon anyway.

Kenda: Well, you're gonna get them anyway, they said they wanna do some work today.

Choi: I. Don't. Care if they want to work. I. Don't. Need. Them.

Kenda: Too bad you're getting them!

Choi: Don't call me and ask me if I want volunteers and tell me I'm gonna get them anyway, I'm out here bustin' my
ass I don't need somebody who sits on their ass all day (low blow) to tell me what I need and what I don't!

Kenda: Are you kidding me? Are you ****ing kidding me?! (reaction to said low blow)

We both hung up on eachother, not realizing, the other hand hung up on us.

I hear Amy's phone ring across the house and see her pick up...

Choi: Is that Kenda?! Is that ****in' Kenda?! I told her we don't need the ****ing volunteers! Hang up the damn phone we're not pickin' up the those stupid volunteers!

In the end, I picked up those damn volunteers, one of which was the guy Chet in that picture up there.

To this day it cracks us both up whenver we talk about it. It's the worst interaction I had with anybody on the team. I was legitimately pissed. I've had run ins with my old GameStop boss (who wanted me to come back and help with his gaming cafe) and I've already been at odds with Ms.Rodgers my site supervisor at the school.
