my friend, who is 18 years old, claims that he can go to the store and legally buy a bottle cooking wine.

i think that it is bullshit, because it is still wine, and it still has alcohol in it. (here in america, the legal drinking age is 21)

his debate was "well you cook with it! i dont see why you couldnt buy it if you were going to cook with it." and he said this while he was drinking it. i think he got ****ing plastered, because he was a crazy son of a bitch the rest of the night.

this was our little new years argument.

you can buy cooking wine, but i don't think it's strong enough to get you drunk though. it's like buying that bbq sauce with jack daniels in it, i highly doubt the sauce will get you sauced.

i don't know why people buy cooking wine anyway it's better to just use real wine. imo.
