hey guys, i just got interested in the pixel art medium.

what exactly is that? well it's a type of computer graphics that is based on the quality and precision of pixels. basically, it's zooming in at about 1600% and doing dot by dot paintings. it's really challenging and even little images take a long time.

here are a few examples i have done:


This was my first pixel art, ever, and it's still being worked on.

stage one, outline.


stage two, cleaned up outline, attempted color/texture.


stage three, i redid the dinosaur with a different pose. i made a bunch of changes to shape/color etc.


stage four, i did a lot of contrast and stuff. this is where i left off.

i tried to upload an animated avatar that was of bigger dimensions, but it wouldn't allow me to. it looked like this:

that art is fancy and i have seen it before, but it's not my favorite.

my favorite types of art are the older types. i love to draw and paint. i also write in calligraphy (i know some old english and old german styles) i am just getting into computer art. i really love that, too. i have done photo manipulations and 3d art, but this 2d pixel art is probably the most fun art i have ever experienced!
