My main problem right now is that I'm whiter than Michael Jackson. Well, not really, but I need to darken up.

So, I want to go tanning, but I don't want to look like an idiot. What exactly do I do?

Can't you just go outside where you live when the sun is strongest?

I was very white until I went on vacation, then I tanned quite well at the end of the trip when I stopped using sunscreen.

go fishing, do something manly. don't go to a damn tanning bed, whatever you do. go outside and have some fun. play basketball for christ's sake.

y'know Mathias, I have the exact same question. I'm tempted to just strut out with my bikini and lie down on a park bench somewhere. But I'd be horribly out of place, and pervvy guys would no doubt follow me around. meh :/

I suggest have weekly swim in the afternoon. Just once a week. You should see some progress. I don't recommend tan 2-3 times a week. You don't want to get skin cancer, don't you?

Be patience as well. You can't get instant result(unless you went to those special suntanning service) . Just relax and enjoy your swim. Let the sun do the job for you.

i can easely litteraly bake if i try to tan for 1 day .

wich i also haven't done yet... because i can't find a good way also .

i was thinking of going to the park next to my place (wich is more like a giant field with a bike track around) . riding my bike there, put it next to a tree and just lie down with my mp3 and sunglasses for a good portion of the day, shirtless of course .

would that be a good idea ? maybe lose the mp3 so my bike doesnt get taken ( i highly doubt it) lol.
