I didnt even respond to CB, only because the truth hurts. I came home today, and Kyles Sgt had called me to get Kyle to come to Pt today, I come home and Kyles car is being driven by someone else kyles not even the damn car. Kyles home. Geezuz.

I know someday he will get it. Just wish it were now. Whats funny is that since he's been in 8th grade I started the whole "here is how you treat your girlfriend" routine. And today he still asks for advice on those situations. Thats a good thing right? So why is it he cant get the most important part of his life together?

Hes getting a safe this weekend. I told him to keep the money in the bank or bring it to me. No more cash in here.

It is so not easy raising kids these days.

Two things come to mind based on what you've posted. I dunno how close I am but here goes:

Kyle has serious self-esteem issues. He's trying to keep 'friends' by giving them things. Money (he gave someone his card PIN, obviously), his car, who knows what else. He needs to be made aware of this & that his 'friends' are using him.

Kyle is using YOU to keep up this 'lifestyle' for his friends. A 'poseur' I think its called. You need to stop letting him. He's doing to you what his friends are doing to him. A nasty chain of use that needs to be broken asap.

I still suggest selling the car & repaying the car loan. He's not respecting the privilege (and it certainly IS one) at all. Therefore, it should be revoked. This is how real life works.

oh believe me I chewed his ass out royally. I wont stand for it. Hes in the process of getting the car out of my name. I KNOW I need to take it away, but Im a sucker mom too. Hard ball, gosh Ive been a hardball at times. It hurt me more than it hurt him.

Hes bringing his friends home and Im talking to him when he gets back. See the idea of me moving out is that he'll get freaked out enough to just go ahead and leave for the military. Because just 10 minutes ago he asked for gas money. NOPE MONEY TRAIN HAS ENDED BUDDY!

The funny thing is here, he's the co-signer on the loan. How retarded.

Kyle DOES have issues big time. Self esteem and other things. He was diagnosed with ADD and OCD and a slight form of Turetts. Not the swearing thing, but his body movements. He was sexually raped in school in like 4th grade. I tried to sue the school, oh hell no that didnt work. Assholes.

He's trying desperately to have a girlfriend. He was engaged in Sept, thats over and within a couple of weeks he's trying to hook up again. He admitted to me lastnight he just wants someone. I try like hell to explain what it is exactly he's doing, but of course he doesnt listen.

Oh Giga, there are days that I cry and wish he were 2 again!!! My parents still hurt and get pissed at me and my brothers and were all in our 30's.

His issues are horrible, but all the more reason to stay the course. Too many youngsters have fallen victim to their own mind****s b/c noone has helped them to help themselves. Its hard, but he's your kid so you do what needs doing. Keep venting here, we'll listen.
