I don't understand why it would be considered tacky. Are you implying they are somehow trying to save money by combining two occasions in to one gift? That's wrong thinking if I've ever heard it.

i guess everyone around here is too short because my post flew over all your heads. since we are on the topic of complaining about special dates and money problems, let's talk about cheap public school lunches that don't get served during the christmas because most of the people are not in school. what about the staff??
