| | | If Somebody Gave You $600.00 Did yas hear about the 600 the fed is gonna be dishin' out to most folks to try to boost the economy?
They want people to go and spend it, but I'm probably gonna put about 200 in savings, another 200 towards paying back my student loans.. Maybe use the other on a plane ticket to make a visit back to Philadelphia, buy an Xbox360 game, or put it towards maintenance of my car...
What would you do?

| | | Definitely save it up for my future plans. $600 is a lot of money to a young person like me.

| | | Man, I could spend the 600 so fast.
I'll definitely put probably 200 straight to my student loans. The remaining 400...I don't think I'll spend it on frivolous things like games, as much as I'd like to. I could use that to pay off my phone bill every month which is like 40-50 bucks, as well as my credit card bill...or when I get an apartment, just use it for rent.
600...that's really not much of anything now that I start to break it down.

600...that's really not much of anything now that I start to break it down. Money goes by quick. Look at the price of gasoline. Every time I fill my car up, it costs me nearly $60. I really keep my money based towards my necessities. Last semester I burnt a hole in my pocket buying video games and things I don't need. This semester I've been more conservative. The only thing I've been spending money on is alcohol... well things that aren't necessities, anyway. I'm doing pretty good. Cellphone bills, insurance, all those lovely bills, taxes... man, I need a job.

| | | 600 bucks is nothing these days. that's like one week's pay... shit, to some that is one weeks rent, while to others that's a half a year feast at mcdonalds.
however, it's more than likely going to liquor and then bills like the rest of my money goes to.
the one thing that i'm sure though, it will definitely disappear.

| | | I'm not so worried about the gas, now. I'm probably going to buy a bike, it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper, and more convenient to get around by bicycle, than by car down here.
What I find is ridiculous is milk is more expensive than gas. We hit 4 bucks a gallon. I'm really not sure how this is going to "stimulate" the economy.
Kiechi: Yeah, the "feds" is in reference to the Federal government, or the overall American government. We need to pay both Federal/Nationwide taxes, as well as our state, and sometimes city taxes as well. This 600.00, which is probably closer to 300 british pounds will be a tax rebate the feds are gonna try to "restimulate" the economy with.

Yeah, they're more like detectives that are federally run and funded.
