hahaha... i guess you don't see too many asian people where you are located at. being in hawaii, we are the melting pot of our nation. we have every asian culture, and a lot of it i might add. i can easily tell the difference between a korean, chinese, or japanese person for that matter just by looking at them. when you take language or culture into play, it only makes it that much easier to tell them apart. but i won't complain because i think that all black people look alike and the same goes for whites. i couldn't tell apart a canadian from a german if my life depended on it.

it's also funny that you talk about japanese females being portrayed in the media because you're only basing that on stereotype. i'd say a good 30% of my family is from japan, including my mother. to answer your question, i have been to japan many of times... stopped over in korea, and i never want to go to china.

This I have to disagree with. You can't tell the difference by just looking at them. When they open their mouth then thats a different story or if they show their culture by the traditional clothes they wear. Koreans, Japanese, and Chinese people do not wear traditional clothings like some south asians or african people so you cannot tell the difference. If you disagree with me then name some physical traits that you think is distinctive to Koreans, Chinese, and Japanese.

I live in a very multicultural environment. I think its just wrong when someone is going to judge a person based on their ethnic background. Every girl from every background is beautiful in their own way. I am friends with girls and guys from very diverse backgrounds and i think its wrong to say "oh, he/she is from this culture and that so I prefer him/her. Or, I don't like him/her because he/she is from this ethnic background".

I recently ended up living in Melbourne which I would easily estimate to have around 30% of the city population coming from various parts of Asia, and got to say that I don't have too much trouble telling the Chinese and Japanese apart (too few Koreans around), despite that the other countries I've lived in have had very few peeps of those nationalities for me to judge beforehand.

There are definite physical traits between Asians ... and maybe I can tell the difference because I am Asian ... but I suppose it'd be the same as me trying to differentiate someone from Canada, Ireland, and Germany. They're all Caucasian to me.

Well, he did say the differences between north and south Asians were there ... Filipinos, Cambodians, and Vietnamese can stand apart from Chinese, Japanese, and Korean ... but damn, if you're around enough of them, you can just tell ....

For me, I can tell which Filipinos are Americanized and which aren't ... my theory is that their mouths/jaws are formed differently from speaking a different language ...

Hahaha ... don't forget India has a problem with overpopulation too ... The world will all be part Chinese and Indian ...

That was my point ... we just know our own. I can tell Asians apart, but I can't tell Caucasians, Africans, Hispanic, or even Native Americans ... the difference between a Cherokee and Navajo? No idea.

How am I being spiteful? But anyway, ppl keep on saying they can tell the difference by their physical traits but none had actually name those traits.

Also, I'm not talking about All asians being different looking. There are general differences between Japanese and Philipino for example. I'm talking about Koreans, Japanese, and Chinese. All three countries are located so close together, the ppl looks very similar too.

I can tell the difference in Asians if they drop their pants.

i have spent my entire life living among asia people. sure, there are those people who you look at and you have to ask yourself, what the hell is their ethnicity because you are either so mixed or just plain ugly that i can't tell the difference as to your background. however, you don't have to believe me, but when you meet a korean person versus a chinese person, i know the difference. viets and loations are a bit harder to tell apart, but when it comes to the main three..krn chn and jpn, it's all too easy.



haha you are reading too inbetween the lines. so what if i choose to like my background over another? is that wrong?? i have dated a diverse group of asian ethnicities, and i like many people like to bond with a female that i have similar interests in, and that's mainly culture. i am not racist or anything, however the woman that i want to marry probably will be japanese. if she's not then i'll deal with it, but until that day comes, this is my wish.

koreans tend to peak face, some have biggest facial features because they loves to smell the garlic...haha..honestly though, the biggest face features are true.

chinese people usually will have larger eyes than a japanese person and most a darker, but it will vary.

i think that overall japanese people are the smallest in general, but with all the hormones in milk these days, you can't really tell.

honestly, to sum up any ethnicity is a rough guess because everyone is so diverse in their way physical features.

this is only an assumption...it's like saying because mexico is next to texas, all the cowboys would look like mexicans and vice versa. i live in hawaii and i look the least bit hawaiian.
