| | | The Dangers of Bathing So I decided to take a bath. I slipped into the tub, filled it with near-unbearably hot water, laid back, opened a book, and relaxed.
But something kept bumping into my side as I read. I swatted it away, thinking it was a chunk of soap or maybe an errant shampoo cap, but it was persistent in agitating me. Finally I withdrew my nose from my book and turned my full attention upon the infuriating flotsam.
It was a dead roach. Huge. Mottled brown. Disgusting.
Ugh. Now I need a shower to cleanse myself from my bath.

I've always had a phobia of water, like going in the ocean, baths, or pools. I will do it but I get very uneasy and can't relax. I mean I do things that are probably a lot more harmful and dangerous than going into a pool or bath, so I know it's not really something to worry about.

When people take a bath they are many times dirty and expecting to clean the dirt and sweat or whatever off of them, but some residue will be left in the tub
There is also a much greater ass crack to water ratio in the tub
Pools have filters
And oceans have circulating water
Baths are just disgusting
