my goal for my future child is to have it better than i did. i want to be a different kind of mom than my own. my mom is very cold and easily gave up. i hope that i am different and that my child has a different experience. i know they will.

Yep.....see, you will be a great mom too. When does the miso baby factory go into production?
Btw, I would NOT spoil my kids. A lot of my requirements for waiting for kids are based on things I didn't have as a child (we were pretty hard up). I want a house because we rented and moved all the time. I want a degree because I watched my mom struggle to get one while raising us, and would have to keep dropping out to work two jobs to bring home the money my dad didn't. I want to be financially stable so that I can help provide my kids with life enriching experiences like travel, and university.
Otherwise, I think I was raised well with good values....those things I will hold onto. The financial end was where my family lacked growing up, and it was very hard for me personally and socially. I don't want my kids to go through what I did, although I'm sure it made me stronger.
