| | | Golf, anyone??? I just learned how to golf this year (two months ago), pretty much because my bf is a golfing freak. He bought me a set of really nice clubs and I've been out on the course about six or seven times now....and I'm totally addicted!
I never thought I'd play golf in a million years, but I love it. I want to take lessons and get really good. Anyone else play?

| | | I would love to learn eventually, but it seems like a very expensive hobby, just like paintball.
Once I have more time after my studies, I'll give it a try.

| | My bf wants to go to Scotland to play at St. Andrews. I'd be too scared to play there, but I wouldn't mind tagging along to watch. I'll make him play in a kilt and hope a breeze catches it

| | | Miso, I know a really nice golf shirt always goes down well with my bf. He likes Tiger Woods' line, it's pretty nice stuff. Expect ot pay $80+ a shirt, but golfers love that shit.
Go to any golf store or pro shop (there's one at pretty much every golf course....it's like a gift shop for golfers....clothes. shoes, clubs, you name it). The bigger courses usually have the better pro shops.

When my stepson was golfing varsity for his high school team, he never seemed to mind getting boxes of good golf balls. You can never have enough, but you have to know what kind he likes because they apparently are not all created equally.
He also REALLY liked it when we bought him a Great Big Bertha club, which hopefully came down in price since then... | | The Following User Says Thank You to shh! For This Useful Post: | | |

| | Had my golf club slip out of my grip and fly 30 meters when I was taking golf lessons in Uganda.
But nah, got a set a few years ago but I never really got into it.

| | | I play golf. My father is a golf freak and so is my BF.
My father and his friend are planning to play golf in Cape Town - it's one of those places with the best golf courses so I might tag along, another reason to visit my BF before my final move.
I don't think there is a lot of women golfers, not in my country anyway. I never understood before - the whole thing about golf - but now I see it as therapeutic!

That's awesome, Foxy.
I know a lot of women who golf actually, including my mom. she came into town last weekend and we played a couple of rounds together for the first time ever. It was pretty sweet. It's also one of the rare instances I can get away with saying '****' repeatedly in front of her.
