| | | I got a new bike!!! I finally broke the piggy bank after about 3 months and decided to buy one. I don't have a pic of mine, but this is it: http://www.trekbikes.com/images/bike...teplatinum.jpg
Ain't she a beaut?
I got it from the Local bike shop, guy roughly sized me up but told me to come back because I didn't have my cycling shorts and he couldn't get me sized exactly. Also the bike was a tad out of tune and the shop was closing, so I tuned it myself at home. I got 30 days of free tuning so I'll just have them check up on what I did. But it seems to be pretty spot on.
The bike is incredible. It's very fast. I took it for a spin around the block and it just hauled. It shocking how much faster it was compared to my 30 year old steel bike. It's funny though I've been keeping up with people at the beach with bikes like this on my 30 year old bike. Can't wait to take it to the beach tomorrow!
I'm excited. Oh ya, and today was a personal record for distance, 70miles on the 30yro bike. Tomorrow I'm going to take the new bike and see if I can beat that.
One thing I love about being single, I can spend a shitload of money on myself.
Just thought I'd let you all know. | | Loveforum Breaktime | | | | Loveforum also recommend - Green tea - Help in weight loss and decrease rate of getting cancer.

| | Getting myself a bike in a month to get around to uni and the city, but I'm more of a forest troll than a road runner, so hope to find some decent woods to go crazy in. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-AU/...80/31860/zoom/

| | | Nice!
My bike is so heavy.
I wish I paid double for a lighter one.

I'm not worried about my bike getting stolen. It's never leaving my site or getting locked up.

| | | FYI, if I ever find the person who stole my bike from in front of my history class at UNM 10 years ago, I'm shoving the handlebars up their ass.
Sweet bike, 1AJ!

So I just got back from it's maiden voyage, did about 60 miles today on it...oh what a dream she was. She handled like a champ, very quick up hills, shifting is pretty smooth, but I can tell it still needs to be adjusted a tad. I'll have the shop fix it, I'm tired of fiddling with it. I want to grab a few things for it eventually, clipless pedals are on top of the list. Also another bottle cage and larger water bottles. It was fairly warm today, I went through about 36oz
I forgot to mention, I need to name her. Can't think of a female name I like. Any suggestions?
