That's what I think as well. I think sleepwalkers are conscious to some extent, they just don't remember what they do. So, they are not actually sleep walking, they are awake walking but forgetfully.
Well sometimes I wake my sister up when she's sleeping to ask for something or make her fix some problem and she'll have no memory of it the next day...apparently I do the same
