| | | Vietnam Regardless of what you think of that war I for one was happy it happened.
My father is asking if I want to take a trip with him back "home", this holiday season.
2000.00 for tickets, and maybe another 500 for any expenses.
I'm considering it.
But 2,000 bucks is also a lot of money.

| | | I would love to visit Vietnam. Definitely go. You will regret if you don't, esp if that is your heritage. The airfare isn't ever going to get cheaper, hun. | |

But yeah, you should go.

| | | Hey Fras.....I just spent three weeks in Vietnam in November, and I freakin' LOVED it. I recommend it to anyone. In fact, I want to go back so I can explore the north, which I never got to.
You can get Heineken for $1 a bottle, and local beer for only 75 cents!! It's crazy!! I spent a lot of time in Saigon and travelled through south and central Vietnam. The people are great and so is the food. If you have any questions about it, I'd be happy to help.
Oh, and $2,000 for a ticket?? That seems a little crazy. I only paid about $1200. As for spendin, $500 is proabably more than enough. I brought $600 USD and brought home $200......and I spent like crazy. Everything over there is ridiculously cheap.

Shut up.
Anyway, my dad was telling me that everything there is cheap. I think it'd be cool to see everything he used to tell me about. No, I'm not Vietnamese, my dad's family were Chinese by blood and Vietnamese nationals. But they carry a lot of Vietnamese traditions.
And so far, I'd have to say, Vietnamese women are some of the best looking in asia.

| | | Will you two please shut up and stop turning every thread into a pro-war thread. I would hate to have to see Fras' thread get closed.

| | | I'd recommend it, haven't been there myself but had some pals who went there, for some reason they seem to like americans alot.

| | | You can get a full body massage for $5. I don't know what they charge for the 'extras'....but I'd imagine it's not much.

And I'm sure they like Americans, or Europeans.
We got lots of money.
Vietnam is still practically third world.
