well i TRIED to teach my son to keep the lid down...he kinda forgets in the middle of the night...and then when i go-I fall in! DAMNIT!!! I hate when that happens! No I dont turn on the light-cause then i wont fall back asleep.

Be glad your son isn't like my sister. She won't even flush at night or in the morning. It's really friggin' disgusting and I get home AFTER she's gone to school so I can't even yell at her and get her to do it.

From now on, if it's not flushed, I'm leaving it for someone else to find and using some other toilet. Then maybe my mom will finally know to teach my sister a lesson. (every time I tell her she says, "Then just flush it Alexi! It's not that big a deal!")

Or when my mom or sister use the bathroom without the door even fully closed. From now whenever I see that I'm gonna slam the door shut telling them that if they don't close it, I'll MAKE SURE it's closed. And if that don't work, I'll just open it all the way and walk away saying, "Fine. You want it open? It's open."

They seem like pet peeves, but I mean it's just goddamned courtesy. Those are HORRIBLE HORRIBLE habits. I ALWAYS flush, put the lid down, wash my hands, and ALWAYS ALWAYS close and lock the door. Even if noone's home.

The closest I've ever done was I was in the shower (at a hotel) and she asked if she could use the bathroom cause she really needed to go. I said ok cause I knew the shower would drown out any . . .ahem . . . external noise.

I have no problem leaving the door open/unlocked if I'm taking a shower. (With the hopes that she would jump in of course!) cause that's a 'clean' thing. But using the bathroom? I only have one word for that. . .

Locking the door seems a little extreme to me though...i mean really think about it-youre with your significant other in some pretty personal ways-touching, licking, feeling, so I wouldnt lock the door-but i would shut it. And as far as the shower-yea hope they'll join...DAMN why I didnt I notice that this past weekend?????????? OMG ALEXI-call me dumbass...ding ding lightbulb just went on-WHY didnt I do that?????????????????????????? *kicks herself in the ass...damn*

I'm with Alexi here. I've only been able to let my guy do it, if I'm in the shower. (But he better not flush it until I'm done! Just leave the lid down and I'll hit the flusher when I step out of the shower). My ex used to come in while I was getting ready for work and stuff and lift the lid like he was gonna go, and I'd have to say, "could ya just wait a freakin' minute, dear??"

Yeah, I'm with Alexi. ewwwww Haven't shared going to the bathroom with anyone since my little sister when we were very small and visiting my grandmother. She had no indoor plumbing and we had to use the outhouse. Oh man, talk about GROSS!!!! With a capital G!!! It was pretty freaky too, which is why we always went together. Spiders, flies, bugs of all kinds and if you were lucky, you may even spot a bear up on the ridge. aaahhhhhh......the farm days. How I miss them.......NOT!!

outhouses? oh ive got stories too! Out at camp...in the middle of nowhere-the thing hasnt been opened in like 6 months and WHAM! youre right bugs-spiderwebs...oh nasty-but that was camp...camp was fun!!! other than the outhouse...
