I am always talking to someone on the net so I type alot - but i cant type normally - i have a screwd up pinky on my right hand that doesnt allow my ring or pinky finger to function very well - I have no cordination. So to even it out i dont use those fingers on the left hand either. So I basically type with 6 fingers at about 60 wpm average - and i abrv alot of things that are a bit obvious that are abrv'd.
But as for the w00t, and l33t words, well... i just like them alot more and plus its just funner to use. And it cuts back on typing too a bit. Instead of "OH HELL YEAH !!!!" I just put "w00t !!!" etc etc etc... blah blah blah.
But yeah - anyways - Don is installing the new computers today - he always has Thomas's machine up and running. I dont think he will get to my machine while I am here today. Maybe he'll do it tonight, maybe tomorrow... I hope not tomorrow, today has been a weird day for me and i just been really aid back and I haven't done ANY work what so ever... So I am a day behind schedule now.
These new machine are weird looking... the base stands upright and is about 2-3 inches thick and it sits right in front of you like your looking at the side of it - the monitor is then attached to it from the bottom. and the keyboard looks to be attached to the bottom of the monitor.... its gonna take some time to get used to it I think. idk yet - mine aint done yet. But they now have WinXP instead of NT4. So I am happy about that. OH AND THERE IS SOUND !!! Which means I can bring mp3's to work now ! w00t !!! hehehe
Anyways... yeah - I am gonna have to redo all my little crap that I did to this machine to get it the way I want it. But it will be easy to do on XP. Might take me 30 minutes or so to open up the intranet for me. This time (if the machine is fast enough to my likings) i will set up my machine to bypass the proxy server so that I can open the internet fully too.
idk - we'll see...
