| | | Wrong army... here is the history and about the Mark 19....
The Mark 19 was developed by the US Naval Ordnance Station in Louisville, KY in 1966 for use as by river patrol boats in Vietnam. The latest version, fielded 1988, is the Mark 19 Mod 3. It is a air-cooled, belt-fed, blowback type machine gun that fires from a open bolt. The ammunition belt is unique in that the link stays with the cartridge and is ejected with the case after firing. The weapon can be fired either single-shot or automatic and can be ground or vehicle mounted. With a effective range of 1600m and the ability to fire both anti-personnel and armor piercing ammunition it is a devastating weapon for use against troops and lightly armored vehicles. It is very popular with field MPs and scouts who are equipped with M1025/M1026 Armament Carrier HMMWVs.
This is an estimation however because each gun (even though made the same) can fire a different range. In turn, a Mark-19 can go from an effective range of 1000 - 2700.
Now, back to keishi's question...

| | | Haha sorry for the long wait people. HEre's my question:
A 10 foot rope ladder hangs over the side of a boat with the bottom rung on the surface of the water. The rungs are one foot apart, and the tide goes up at the rate of 6 inches per hour. How long will it be until three rungs are covered?

| | | My question - I have a gun (idk what kind, lets say a standard rifle) on a stand at 4 feet off the ground and it will fire the bullet exactly parrallel with the ground. ok ?
Now I have 2 bullets - both the same weight, made from the same shit - everything - they are perfect twins.
Now I fire one from the gun, and I drop the other from the exact same height the other bullet in the gun was. I did this at the exact same time. Which bullet will hit the ground first ?
